Brad

I have found two issues with regard to the ODBC connection as well as a connection to Sybase SQL Anywhere

1. Connection to SQL Anywhere DB V11 on Network not possible
Datasource keeps assuming the DB is on the local box. The same happens when I try to connect using ODBC.

2. ODBC connection to an older version of SQL SQL Anywhere DB on local box worked OK, however
a. the table names were truncated
b. Table names contained Chinese characters
c. Column names contained chinese characters.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Stan

Issue 1)

QB is using a pre-defined ODBC data source to make the connection to the SQL Anywhere database. Can you test the connection using the ODBC Administrator?

Issue 2)

The SQL Anywhere data sources use ODBC to connect so using the ODBC option isn't needed. If you connect to the SQL Anywhere database as an SQL Anywhere datasource, do you still see issues?

Brad,

Both suggestions worked.

This is now a great tool. Thank you very much.
